Gabriel reluctantly got out of bed, making his way over to his closet. He pulled out a suit and began to change into it. Paris was gone now and they were left with the reality of the cold cell room. Definitely a disappointment. He would have liked to spend all day in bed with her (at least the second time had gone better for both of them) but they had both agreed that if they stayed in his room for too long, Angela and Noah would become suspicious.

And neither one of them wanted that.

Especially when Candice's dead corpse was still on the floor in a fat, bloody mess.

He pulled on his coat before he began to work on fixing his tie. "So what are we doing next?" He asked curiously.

"I am real nice to you," He murmured softly, loosening her grip. He leaned down, pressing a kiss against her neck. He couldn't help but feel possesive over her.

She was his after all.

She preened just a bit, shivering at the soft touch of his lips. "Maybe," she murmured, reaching back to touch his arm. She gave a small, noncommittal shrug and bit her smirking bottom lip.

"Just maybe?" He asked with a raised brow, nuzzling playfully against her soft skin.

Right as he did so however, the door was unlocked and opened from the outside. In came Noah Bennet. He gave them a sardonic smile, looking over at Candice's corpse. "You two have gotten rather busy, haven't you?"

Elle hardly flinched--it truly was only a matter of time before someone found them. Her face was blank and innocent as she followed Noah's eyes. "She was being mean to me," she replied, as if that was an acceptable reason to slaughter Candice. And obviously, it totally was.

"I thought I could make better use of her power than she did," Gabriel added with a shrug, keeping his arms around Elle.

Elle watched as Noah's smile didn't waver, in this creepy, annoying way. He stepped to the side without comment, and gestured out the door. "We need to get this messed cleaned up, and Angela would like a word with you two."

Gabriel nodded in agreement, helping Elle out the door. He wondered idly what Angela would do for this indiscretion. He was almost curious to find out, honestly.

Elle was practiced at looking unconcerned, only she didn't really need to act this time. What could Angela do? Kick her out? There goes all that money. Besides, she'd been doing exactly what they told her to do, she thought, wrapping her arms around Gabriel's middle as they walked, Noah leading. Making Gabriel feel at home.

Gabriel followed Noah down the hall where they were told to wait outside Angela's office while he went inside to talk to her. Once the other man left, Gabriel turned to Elle curiously.

"What do you think is going to happen to us?"

Her teeth nibbled on her lower lip, and she gave a half-shrug, leaning into him a little further. She didn't like how he'd phrased the question, like it was going to be something bad.

What if it was?

"Daddy usually gave me a slap on the wrist," she said evenly. Then again, Angela wasn't Daddy.

"Well, that's good, then," He murmured with a shrug of his shoulders. He didn't know why the idea of Angela being upset or disappointed with him upset hum, but it did. He couldn't explain it.

"I'm not worried," she said, tilting her head up to smile at him. "You're her new prize agent," she explained wryly, snuggling deeper into her chest. "I bet you can do no wrong."

"You really think so?" He asked curiously, his body relaxing a little. It was nice to know that things might go more smoothly than he originally thought they would.

"Uh huh," she murmured, burying her face into his shoulder. She couldn't help but touch him. She didn't want to stop. "She plays favorites." Not that Elle was a favorite of Angela's. Quite the contrary, actually.

"Well, that's good then," He murmured, bringing a hand up to run through her hair idly. He couldn't stop touching Elle either.

She just wanted to be close to him. As close as they'd been in his room, all tangled up together. She really liked him now, more than she truly wanted to own up to. That made it easy to shrug off all their hatred and homicidal tendencies from yesterday. Anyway, some movies and stuff happened like this, right? They were supposed to hate each other first.

Now he really liked her. "Nothing to worry about," she muttered, turning into his neck to nip his skin.

"Good," He murmured, holding her close to him. Maybe they had had to get their aggressions out first (he'd be lying if he said it wasn't kind of exciting to fight with her) in order to be closer now. After all, they were both very powerful people, it made sense that they would clash, and then come together.

At that, the door swung open and Noah gave them a sardonic smile. "Angela will see you now."

Gabriel took Elle's hand and squeezed it comfortingly before leading her inside the office.

To say that Elle was a little furious to see Angela sitting in her Daddy's chair, behind her Daddy's desk, with all her Daddy's things was perhaps a bit of an understatement. Not even Gabriel's fingers laced through hers helped the rush of indignation she felt.

She never liked Angela, for so long she couldn't even remember why, but this right here seemed like a good enough reason to start with justification. Suddenly the weight of her father's death felt a bit heavier, and so by times more real, and it made her angry he was gone. Taken from her from some bastard who no one would even tell her about. She felt wrathful, her skin humming with charging electricity, her eyes starting to burn.

Angela's wrinkled, ugly, old face appraised them indifferently, and she gestured to the couch--her Dad's couch for them to sit, her posture regal and commanding.

Elle wanted to hurt her as she obeyed, her jaw tightening. It wasn't Angela's fault her Dad was gone, not really, but she was a good enough target.

"What gives you two the right to slaughter an employee and an agent of this company?" Angela asked simply, like a disappointed mother, but lacking any sincere concern. It took a liar to know one--and Elle would know.

Elle met her hard stare levelly. "I didn't like her."

Gabriel was a little more nervous than Elle was entering the office. He couldn't help it. Angela had been kind to him, almost nurturing and motherly, taking over the roles his parents had left behind in the accident. She had been the first one to see how special he was. That had to count for something, right?

Not to mention all the wonderful presents she had given him.

At her question, Gabriel merely shrugged his shoulders. "I thought I could make better use of her power than she did."

Which was sort of true. He left out the part where he hadn't liked Candice interrupting them, or upsetting Elle.

"Gabriel," Angela said firmly, her glare moving from Elle's defiant expression to him. "If you wanted Candice's ability, you should have asked first. Instead, you have cost your home an agent and a mess that must be dealt with accordingly," she scolded harshly. "And as for you, Miss Bishop." Her voice grew darker, and infinitely more disapproving.

Elle braced herself, her nails digging into the back of Gabriel's hand. She was probably hurting him, but she hardly noticed. Angela's thin fingers folded on top of the desk, her painted lips scowling, and all Elle could think was that was her Dad's desk. And this was her home.

"You should know better. The only reason you were ever trained to be an agent was because of your father's insistence. You are a violent, selfish, and unreliable child who clearly cannot be trusted to perform the simplest of tasks. Have you taught him anything yet, Elle?"

Elle didn't know it was possible to be so angry. Had no idea she could be seething so completely she was trembling. Violent? Selfish? Unreliable? The only thing she'd done her whole entire life was try to be good enough to be an agent. The only thing she'd ever wanted was for her Daddy to tell her she was doing a good job, that she was doing everything right, that she was the best.

All of her was in this damn company. All of her.

She sucked in a shaking breath, her teeth clenched. "Not yet."

"You're not going to fire her, are you?" Gabriel's voice became a little more desperate and his hand gripped Elle's tightly. He wasn't going to let them take Elle away from him. She was his. She belonged to him. "I promise, I'll ask first next time."

Angela pursed her lips tightly, in an almost smile. It was like she knew something they didn't. "You'll see to it that you don't, Gabriel. I would hate to have to punish you. After all, you have so much potential. You could be the best agent we've had yet."

Gabriel couldn't help but swell a little at her praise. The best agent they ever had. Because he had potential, he was special. Which was probably the reason why he seemed to only be getting a warning for killing Candice instead of a more severe punishment.

Elle couldn't help the rush of jealousy she felt, the rage still consuming her like hot, agonizing flames. She didn't need nor want Angela's approval, but that was--that was who she was. How her Dad talked to her. She practiced so much, and tried so hard, and now Gabriel was just the better one because he was so powerful and could take so many powers, and she felt a little sick about it.

A little sick about how they were talking about getting rid of her like she was a misbehaving child. She was right. Gabriel got a slap on the wrist. Only she got one right across the face.

She stood, wrenching her hand from Gabriel's and looking at some point over Angela's stupid, hideous head. "I'll get right on training him," she seethed, and moved to walk straight out the door.

Gabriel glanced at Elle's retreating body, and then back to Angela. "Is there anything else?"

Angela shook her head lightly. "No. That is all for now. Just remember to be careful in the future. Ask before taking. You need to learn self control or your power will be the one controlling you."

He nodded his head and got up, using his long legs to catch up with Elle as she stormed down the hall. He didn't know exactly what he was supposed to say or do, but he didn't like seeing her so upset.

She heard his footfalls halfway down the hall, her fists clenched at her sides, and didn't even bother glancing at him. She was still shaking, and she wanted more than anything to kill that stupid bitch. "She's just trying to manipulate you, you know," she snapped angrily, her voice wavering. "She doesn't care about you. You're nothing but a project and a lapdog to her."

"You're wrong," He snapped a little defensively. He didn't want to believe it. "She does care about me. She just wants to make sure I live up to my full potential." Because he was special.

Elle was just...jealous or something. That wasn't his problem.
