It was pretty late at night by the time they finally reached the Canadian border. As he drove closer to the border he couldn't help but feel a little nervous. They'd only ask a few questions, right? It wasn't likely that they would have pictures of them or anything, any way of knowing that they were trying to run from the law, right?

Right.

He was worrying over nothing, he was pretty sure of it. So far, everything had been going well. Sure, it had taken them a little longer than expected to get here, mostly because they kept stopping to fool around and the like, but they had managed to get here, new car and all. Once they got through they could find a place to stay for the night and figure out the rest in the morning, right?

Right.

Still, one of his hands left the wheel and searched for her hand, fingers intertwining with one another. Being able to hold her hand was a comfort, at the very least.

"I wouldn't have let you touch me when I was that smelly either," she smiled, pouting and nuzzling with a soft moan into his pulse.

"In case it would tarnish my image of you?" He asked playfully, running his fingers through her long blond hair.

"Yes," she chirped, her eyes softening under his brushing fingers. "You have to always believe my hair is done and I never skip a shower," she murmured. Even if she was kidding, it was sort of true--Elle liked looking good in general, and especially for Gabriel. Wasn't it only a few weeks ago she'd practically worn negligee to a tutoring session?

"You do realize I've seen what you look like when you first wake up, right?" He asked, raising a brow curiously at her. He didn't care how much or how little she put into her appearance though, she was always beautiful to him.

"Nope," she denied, sticking her nose up and shaking her head. He totally had not, even if he had.

"Yes, I have," He insisted, pressing a playful kiss against the tip of her nose. "I've seen you groggy eyed with bed hair, and it's absolutely adorable."

She blushed a warm pink and scrunched her nose under his lips with a soft giggle. She doubted it was adorable though, even if the words fluttered butterflies in her stomach. "Well, I've seen you drooling and snoring," she murmured, shifting and pressing closer.

It was his turn to turn his nose up a little indignantly now. "I do not snore" He countered stubbornly. At least, he was pretty sure he didn't. He supposed she would know better than he would.

"You do to," she corrected him, grinning up at his indignation, reaching to zap his chin playfully. "Like a little bear with a little puddle of saliva."

He wrinkled his nose at the little spark, flinching slightly. "I do not" He insisted.

"Do to," she said in a sing-song, rubbing the tender, passing burn with the sole of her thumb. "It's the cutest thing I ever saw." She grinned, shifting and leaning up to nip at his bottom lip.

He rolls his eyes a little, nipping at her lip in return. "Whatever"

"Don't be a grump," she pouted, shocking his lips again with a wry smile.

"I'm not being a grump," He argued stubbornly. "I'm just pointing out that it's not true, that's all."

She frowned a little; what was the big deal if he snored and drooled? He could be such a baby about the stupidest things, and Elle resisted the urge to roll her eyes. "How would you know?" she countered, and tried to soothingly rub his shoulders. "There's no reason to deny it," she added with a tentative smile.

He just snorted while she rubbed his shoulders, letting it soothe him a little. He couldn't help but be so sensitive about things. it was just the way he was, really.

This time, she couldn't help but roll her eyes, but this time it was with a smile. She wrapped her arms around his neck, her limbs tightening around him with a soft sigh. Maybe he was a big grump, but she didn't care. His beard was soft and scratchy as she nuzzled against it, unkempt after so long. "Don't worry," she whispered, "you're a sexy drooler. I promise."

It was hard to keep up a frown as she nuzzled against him like that. She was so soft and warm and she smelled so nice. So he just snorted lightly, running his fingers through his hair as he muttered, "Whatever," once more.

She laughed, softly, once, feeling happily victorious as his muscles seemed to lose some of that stubborn tension. With another breathless sigh, she trailed her lips up his jaw and stroked his messy hair back, breathing softly and taking the lobe of his ear between her teeth to tug and lick it gently. "You don't believe me?" she murmured. Maybe it was cheating, trying to win the argument this way, but how could she keep her hands off of him generally?

He bit his lip, trying to suppress a shudder as she began to nip and lick at his ear lobe. It was definitely hard to stay upset when she was giving him that sort of attention. "I don't believe you," He insisted.

Okay, so maybe now he was keeping up the argument to see what else she would do to try to convince him to agree with her. Could you blame him?

"No?" she whispered, taking the bait, and pressed against him with a soft purr, writhing her body very slowly into his. "Why would I lie?" Her lips moved down, latched onto his jugular to suckle and nip with a soft moan. His skin was so smooth, and she traced the dragging nails marks over his shoulders to make it sting.

He hissed out a soft groan as her fingers brushed against the scratches she had left on him. "You're the one who claims to be a habitual liar," He countered with a bit of a smirk. "As far as I know, you don't need a reason to lie."

"Only to you," she whispered, digging into his wounds with sharp nails, stroking his ego. Even thought it was almost entirely untrue; Elle certainly had no remorse over lying to him about little things (maybe he didn't snore). It was the big things that ate away at her, but no matter. All she cared about right now was moving against him, licking his marred pulse, reeling in the slight taste of copper blood on her tongue. She'd be lying if trying to turn him on wasn't working on her, too.

"It's nice to know I'm the exception," He murmured, hissing as her nails dug into his wounds. He'd be lying if he said her attempts at turning him on weren't working. It was nice to know she wasn't lying to him about anything important though. Not anymore. If anything good had come out of her father's death, it was that there was no lies between them now.

Elle liked to think that only good things had come out of her father's death, and not having to lie to Gabriel, to keep their relationship a secret, like it was something to be ashamed of, was right up top. Nothing else mattered--nothing, and she was sure of it, smiling against his neck and sliding her hand down his chest, abdomen, wrapping her fingers around his cock with a soft sigh. "So do you believe me now?" she whispered.
