A fresh wave of hot tears stung her eyes as he kissed her, and she choked a little against his mouth. He was tender, brushing away her tears, cradling her and loving her and comforting her, as if a simple kiss could sooth all of her tears and anger and agony.
It just hurt more, because it felt so right. She wanted him to kiss her, and hold her, and make everything okay again.
