After they had finished cleaning up they had gotten dressed and made their way out of the hospital, heading onto the road back to the Company. The car ride is considerably shorter on the way back, but that's probably because they aren't going at it like rabbits anymore. At least not for now, anyways. They both seemed rather spent from the day's activities.

Gabriel couldn't help but feel a little relieved as they pulled into the parking lot of the Company. He doubted taking down Angela would be easy, but the sooner they did it, the better. He hated sleeping in that cell on that uncomfortable bed. Even if they didn't know where they were going after this, wherever it was, he'd be able to sleep at Elle's side again.

He smiled a little at that thought.

He got out of the car, waiting for Elle to do the same before taking her hand, pulling her in for a brief kiss.

"Let's go kill the wicked witch," He mused.

How hard could it be? And even though Elle had discussed the desire to kill Angela herself, part of him was still hoping maybe things would play out so he could take her power. After all, there were so many uses for precognition, it seemed like a pity to just let that go to waste.

She smiled a mean smile against his lips and twined her fingers through his. "Let's," she agreed, and headed for the door excitedly.

Finally. What she'd been waiting so patiently for.

He led her into the building, making their way down the hall toward Angela's office. He was careful not to take any detours. Their best chance was to go directly to her.

And even then, she might know they're up to something.

She walked into the office without knocking with a small, pleased simper.

And froze, her smile wavering. There was Angela, behind her desk, the Haitian standing behind her, and Noah on the couch.

"What are you doing here?" she clipped out without thinking.

Noah looked up with a small smile, and Angela simply rose an eyebrow. The Haitian stared.

"Hello to you too, Elle," Noah drawled.

Elle opened and closed her mouth, confused and frustrated.

Gabriel's smile dropped as he noticed who was there in the room with Angela.

He wasn't so worried about Noah (though if he knew more about the man, maybe he would be) but the other one? He was the one who had disabled his powers before.

Which suddenly made this a much more difficult situation to deal with. He had to find a way to knock the Haitian out or something, otherwise they probably wouldn't get far in their plans.

"There's here on their own assignments, Elle," Angela explained patiently, closing the folder she'd been looking at. "Now, how did yours go?"

Elle sucked in a breath, shooting a dark look of hatred towards the Haitian for more reason than one. "It's funny," she said carefully, "her husband was with her, and he was the one with the ability."

"He struggled against us and we had no choice but to terminate him before he became a threat to the entire hospital," Gabriel added in carefully, watching to see how Angela would respond to that information.

"I'm sorry to hear that," she responded primly. "I hope this termination didn't involve any lack of control on your part, Gabriel."

"It didn't," Elle cut in. She saw no reason to lie, and no reason to mention she'd stopped him.

Angela tilted her head, just barely, and pursed her lips. "That's good news."

If he didn't know better, he would think Angela looked disappointed, just for a second there. Which meant their theory had been right.

But why had she wanted him to blow up New York?

He kept these thoughts to himself before speaking. "Just as you predicted, Elle's presence and training has been able to teach me better control."

"That's also good news," Angela responded, and looked at them blankly for a fraction of a second before raising with a proud smile. "I'm glad you're learning so quickly, Gabriel."

Elle refrained from rolling her eyes.

"I have a good teacher," came his simple reply.

Luckily, very little of the blood had splattered on his clothes this time, otherwise it might have given him away.

Angela's eyes flickered over to Elle momentarily. "Yes, well," she said, "I think it's time you head back to your rooms, then."

Elle narrowed her eyes; something about Angela's look made her feel a bit nervous.

Gabriel's hand tightened around Elle's a little protectively as he looked at her. What should they do? It was rather obvious Angela knew they were up to something at this point.

"Okay," Elle replied--even if they weren't to listen to the orders, getting away from the room was their prime option at this point.

"I'll see you around, Elle," Noah said, breaking the quiet, and Elle nodded to him and anxiously backed up a few steps, turning to exit.

"Goodnight...Mother," Gabriel murmured softly, following her out of the office now.

Perhaps it had been foolish to think that it would be so easy to end all of this.

"That was stupid," she said furiously, walking quick down the hall. Her thought were similar to his. "We should have known."

"We'll just have to plan better," He mused, picking up his pace to keep up with her as she went down the hall. "Make sure that man who subdues powers isn't around."

"He'll always be around now," she nearly growled. "She knows to look out for us now. She'll always see us coming."

"Well, what do you want to do, then?" He hissed back. "I could care less if she dies or not. I'm doing this for you"

"You should care, Gabriel," she shot back, and stopped to whisper to him fiercely. "She wants to manipulate you, to control you, and she's got the money and resources not to let you out of her sights. You think my dad could have forced us apart? Angela could just as easily, if not more so."

"She may have money and resources, but that doesn't mean I'm so easily caged," He whispered back, gritting his teeth. Though the fact that Angela was trying to did anger him. "Besides, she doesn't have the same sway over you."

And that had been his real fear, at the time. That her loyalty to her father would override her loyalty to him. With
Angela, that wasn't an issue.

"You are caged, Gabriel," she argued. "Where do you sleep every night? We're both prisoners here, and now we don't even have an ace up our sleeves. Without our abilities, we're powerless," she said, a bit frantically.

"She took me off those drugs my first day here, I probably could have escaped by now. I only stayed because of you" he insisted. "And I don't need abilities to kill someone if it came down to it, I didn't use any the first time. We're not as powerless as you think."

"Against trained professionals?" she retorted weakly, even if a part of her was comforted by his confidence. "We're outnumbered, and Noah might not look like much, but he's smart and he's killed a lot more people for a lot less than you have." She exhaled and pushed back her hair tiredly.

"That doesn't mean we just give up. We have to figure something out, Elle," He argued stubbornly.

"I know," she conceded with frustration, and exhaled a deep breath. Even if she still wasn't aching inside for revenge, they needed a way out of this, and running away would be too risky. "I'm just tired," she mumbled. "It's been a long day." Week. Month.

"But not all of why today was long was bad, right?" He asked, trying to lighten things up a bit, despite how bleak the situation seemed at the moment.

More and more, it seemed like it would be easier to just escape, but maybe it wouldn't. Elle did know more about this place than he does.

"Does she sleep here, or somewhere else?" He asked, still thinking.

"No," she laughed softly, and squeezed his hand. "But still tiring," she added with a smirk.

She furrowed her brow at his question. "She lives in the city, but I'm pretty sure lately she's been staying here, or at least someplace close."

"Especially with how many times we did it today," He mused with a grin before growing more serious.

"Well, maybe we should try to go after her when she's sleeping," He suggested. "There's less of a chance of her having anyone with her then, at the very least."

She couldn't help but bite her grinning bottom lip and lean into him, mentally tabulating the number. She sighed, trying to let the weight still on her shoulders roll off at his suggestion, and looked up to him, her expression sobering. It could work... "She has to sleep eventually..."

"It's worth a shot," He replied with a nod. It certainly beat just feeling defeated about the whole situation. At least this way they were continuing to try, right?

Besides, the sooner they got Angela out of the picture, the sooner they could leave. He was sick of sleeping in that cell.

"Hmm," she responded in agreement. "And I'm sure the Haitian has to sleep too," she pointed out.

"Most people do, at some point. Does he sleep here? Maybe we should make sure he...stays asleep before going after her."

He shudders a little at the thought of that power. It certainly would make his work alot easier.

Her smile brightened at his words, despite the connotation, despite that she knew what he was thinking.

If it helped her kill Angela...

"He's always slept here before," she said, and brushed aside his hair.

He was surprised she didn't make any comment about him not taking the power. Especially after she had prevented him from taking Ted's power earlier today. He wasn't complaining, but he was still a little surprised.

He smiled, leaning into her touch a little. "So we should go for his room first."

"That's a better plan," she agreed with a sly simper, and pulled away, tugging at his hand. "Come on. You're staying with me."

He squeezed her hand, nodding. He had no arguments with that plan. Her room was much better than staying in his cell. Besides, better they stick together until they had the chance to execute their plans.
